Coaching  Philosophy

The growth and development of the players I am coaching is the main focus I have each season. I want my team to become better volleyball players, both individually and collectively, each time they step onto the court. I believe that if you desire a goal enough you have to work hard enough to achieve it. There is no replacement for hard work and commitment, and both of these will lead to success no matter the results.

In addition, I want the players I coach to believe in these morals and values outside of volleyball. I like to lead by example and always give full commitment and effort to each practice and match we participate in, which I expect in return from the players on the team. Watching the players become better volleyball players and enjoy the time on the court as a team is great to see, but it’s more gratifying watching them become greater people. I always look forward to seeing new faces play a sport that is such a great part of my life and hope that it has the same impact on them as it did me.
