Coach Deanna Coss – Assistant Coach

I’ve been playing volleyball for about 11 years now, I started in 4th grade on my school team and joined club at the age of 12.  Volleyball has been apart of my life every since I can remember, throughout the years I’ve improved and learned more about the sport than what is on the surface.

I played 3 years on Miramonte High School team as a Libero/DS; played here at Diablo my 16s and 17s year and absolutely love the coaches and teammates.

After graduating high school I continued to play at Diablo Valley College as starting  Libero, and have been coaching for about 3/4 years now.

My goals as a coach is to help each player reach their fullest potential in volleyball, to push themselves and compete with themselves in a  positive way to be a better player, or teammate everyday. Aside from teaching the fundamentals about volleyball, I want to teach players notice details throughout the game to know to read a shoulder, a hand, a set.

The skills used in volleyball will help you be a better player, but it can help you in more ways outside of the sport as well.
