Jackie Domecus

I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old. I went to high school in Vallejo, CA at Saint Patrick-Saint Vincent High School where I played volleyball for four years as a setter and outside hitter. I went on to play at Napa Valley College in Napa, CA as a setter, outside hitter and middle hitter. During my career there we earned two conference titles as well as an overall conference record of 27-1. After that, I went on to play at San Francisco State University as a defensive specialist/libero. My first year, the team reached the NCAA championships for the first time in a long time.
I coach the JV men’s and women’s team at Saint Patrick-Saint Vincent High School for 6 years. I have coached 13-18 club girls and 14-17 club boys. I still play in volleyball leagues around the area and have gone to nationals for 9man volleyball the last four years. I love and live volleyball and I can’t wait to spread my love and knowledge of the sport with the kids. Volleyball runs in my family. My mom coaches the boys and girls teams at my high school, SPSV. My sister played for CSU Dominguez Hills. My younger brother played for Diablo for 8 years, was an All-American in high school, won back-to-back national championships at The Ohio State University and now plays professional volleyball in Finland. Diablo is a wonderful program that gets players to the next level.
My goal is to develop the athlete’s mental and physical game and challenge them to reach their highest potential by building a winning culture based on relentless effort, competitive excellence and becoming one unit strong. We want to help you become the best player you can be and give you the mental toughness to be able to survive not only in volleyball but also in any situation that life throws at you. Diablo is an amazing family to be a part of. We build relationships that last. Players that play together here build friendships that go beyond the court. The players here work hard, play hard and have fun.
