For as long as I can remember, volleyball has been a part of my life. Growing up in Hawaii, I’ve played multiple sports but volleyball was the one that I knew would always be with me throughout my journey of life. I played all throughout my high school and was fortunate enough to play one year of club volleyball. My experience playing at Kamehameha Volleyball Club was the best time that I ever had. I learned more about volleyball in the four months that I played there than I did the four years that I played at my high school. Having this experience was an opportunity that I am grateful for and decided then to become a physical educator and coach at the collegiate level. After high school, I played two years at West Hills College before transferring to California State University, Sacramento. Playing volleyball at three different levels gave me valuable experience as a student-athlete but also as a future collegiate coach. Upon completing my playing career, I easily transitioned into coaching volleyball where I love to share my passion for volleyball. I was given a great opportunity to learn, play, and coach the sport that I feel I was born to do. I now give players who want to learn and want to play an opportunity to have a wonderful and purposeful experience.
