Coach Kim Tretten

As a coach for Diablo, my goal is to create an environment that encourages athletes to learn about the game of volleyball as well as develop their fundamental skills. Volleyball has a been a large part of my life and as a coach, I emphasize the importance of hard work, commitment, as well as a good attitude. I also recognize that we are here to have fun and play a game that we love!

My volleyball career began when I was in 6th grade, playing club for my city’s local team. I continued to play club and school volleyball until I graduated from Will C. Wood High School in 2007 where I played 4 years on our Varsity team as an outside hitter. Throughout high school I played for Force volleyball where I played at the Junior Olympic level. While playing for Force I participated in two Junior Olympics, one in Atlanta, Georgia and one in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I have previously coached JV volleyball at Will C. Wood before going back to get my teaching credential. I am currently a Science teacher at San Ramon Valley High School where I am the Freshmen Assistant Coach.
