Coach Assistant Coach – Tyler Trolson

To give you a little history about myself and my volleyball credentials, I will start by saying volleyball has been a huge part of my life since high school. I played at Deer Valley High School, while playing club volleyball at East Bay Jrs. and Diablo Valley. I continued playing volleyball at Sacramento State University. Upon returning home from college, I immediately began assistant coaching at Deer Valley High School for both the boys and girls varsity teams, while also head coaching multiple Diablo Valley teams over the years. In 2012, I took over the Pittsburg Boys Varsity team and coached there for seven years, going to NCS multiple times. During this time (and still), I assistant coach the LMC Women’s volleyball team. This will be my 10th year doing so.
Last year, I was given the opportunity to coach the 18’s Black team. It was a blast to see the achievements the team made over the season.
My coaching philosophy is simple. 100 percent effort all of the time. A player can not always control the outcome of every play they make, but they can always control the amount of effort they put into everything they do. Hard working players and teams always seem to have a bit of luck on their side, but in reality, that luck is just their hard work personified. Work hard, play hard.
