Assistant Coach – Wendy Van Dyke

I was introduced to volleyball in middle school and immediately fell in love with the sport and continued playing in high school.  I was a multi-sport athlete in high school playing all seasons and have a true love for not only being active but working as a team towards a common goal.  I took on the captain role on many of those teams in both high school and college.  In 2005 I won the Female Athlete of the Year Award at Los Medanos Junior College.  Since finishing college, I now work with students daily as a middle school P.E. teacher and have experience coaching multiple sports.  The sports I’ve coached include volleyball, softball, soccer, cross country, and basketball.  I absolutely love coaching, and it is a true passion of mine. I’m excited to be coaching in the Diablo Valley volleyball program and look forward to watching the girls grow their skills and love for volleyball together on the court.
