Coach Zach First

I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old for Diablo Valley Volleyball Club. During that time I played for multiple coaches including Sean Stratton and Brian Fujinaga. I went to Campolindo high school where I played 4 years on varsity as a libero, setter, and outside hitter. After that, I went to Chico State University where I played on the men’s club team as a libero and outside hitter for 5 years. My first year we won the D1-AA Collegiate Club National Championship and I was nominated to the all-tournament team as the 1st team all-tournament libero. After my final year of playing, I remained at Chico where I was an assistant coach for the men’s club team. After Chico I moved to Middletown, CA where I was the head coach for the 7th and 8th grade girls volleyball team at Middletown High School. After living in Middletown I moved back home in 2012 where I joined the Campolindo High School coaching staff. Since 2013, I have been the assistant coach at Campolindo High School for both the boys and girls varsity teams. While this will be my first year coaching at Diablo, I am exciting to rejoin with the program and coaching staff.
